1. We value Intimacy with God. This principle is found in Mark 12:30 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” We desire Jesus – his person, his love, his mercy, and his power – to shine through all that we do, through worship, the word, and prayer.
2. We value Community. Acts 2:42 “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayers.” Building relationships through God’s love. We recognize that everything else is meaningless if all that we do is not characterized by Godly love, walking together in unity, serving one another and enjoying the grace of life together.
3. We value Service. Philippians 2:3-4: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourself. Each of you should not look only to your own interests, but also to those of others.” We endeavor to understand and help meet the needs of our community. To be generous and freely give away all that we have freely received from God.
4. We value Authenticity. 1 Samuel 16:7b: “The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” To have integrity of heart. We seek completely truthful, consistent, and open relationships with God, with others and with ourselves. We want every _expression of ours whether speech, music, architecture, or manner to be non-hyped, natural, and reality-based.
5. We value Leadership. 1 Timothy 3:1 “Here is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer (leader), he desires a noble task.” We approach leadership as a team effort with one person, the Senior Pastor, operating as a visionary and goal-setter.
